let me just add
let me just add, to what the foster mother told her...she said DO NOT ever hang on people or sit on peoples laps it is wrong to be CLINGY.
So close but... so far away....
Lucy Mae is soooo very close to her mother... there is no other parental relationship that is sooo important than the love for and from the mama... Lucy Mae is distant with me and only holds my hand when Donna gives her a small non-verbal cue (the you better do what I said look -- with a smile)... I'm sure this will pass. Her foster parents not knowing her future prepared her for whatever came her way -- Independence. The foster mom told her to never depend on no one (or men) and do everything for herself... Lucy Mae is doing what she was prepped for.... but I'm sure when we get home and sees how Lily Mae loves he DaDa -- she'll be a Daddy's girl in no time....
Azithromycin (Z Pak) is Jeff's new friend...
Can you believe I'm sick with a blasted sinus infection... I could feel it coming on when we were flying out of Beijing... So I wondered to a Chinese pharmacy and I was in luck ("Murphy's Law") no one spoke English... So I made some motions to my nose - they grabbed a box... Then I spoke in a Barry White tone voice... they grabbed another box... then for 10 minutes we went back and forth. I was trying to explain that I wanted non-drowsy meds... We looked like we were playing charades!!! Then they put those boxes back and came back with two more.... Then came the biggie question do you have Azithromycin???? They bought me a book about the size of a bible from the Middle Ages -- All the times I overlooked indexes in books trying to find what I was looking for - shame on me. This time I turned to the index... to the Z's... then my next lucky break happened... the text was too small -- I did not have my glasses.... so I squinted as if my life depended on it... then there it was... "Azithromycin"... no prescription... no co-pay... no doctor appointment (that's always two days away) all for $4.53 -- YEA!!!!!
this is a picture that is very much familiar to adoptive family and yet scary looking this is called a "Squatted potty" you do just that squat and pot, it is crazy silly me was so worried about Lucy Mae and how to show her how to use it, (HAVE I LOST MY MIND, she is from here... she KNOWS how to use it she went right in there and knew how to hold her clothes and all, taught me a few things, LOL)

grace.
Well today was again bittersweet we are closer to coming home, however Lucy
Mae had to leave, Cindy she really got close to our translator, she spent
everyday with us and really connected to her. When Jeff mentioned earlier
about Lucy Mae crying at the airport, let me say she was "SCREAMING" at the
top of her lungs and the airport is all open, it is like a huge arena...it
was crazy!!!!! and she was falling to the floor and would NOT let go of
Cindy we had to PEEL her off of Cindy (broke my heart, she has had to say
goodbye to so many people, and has lived in a home (I assume with her bio.
mother, bc she was abandon at 6 months old) a hospital, foster, and now our
home, her home sweet home. I cannot wait to keep her home, everyday and just
give her consistency. Have a wonderful day (it is night here) our hotel room
is AWESOME!!
