Busy Streets....

God is Great!!!

WOW!!!!!! I am so completely SPEACHLESS, I have NEVER seen a child so full of laughter!!!! and JOY!!!!  we gave her a bath for the VERY first time in her life, and she laughted and just keep having the time of her life, she would like keep lifting up the water and looking at me smiling but mainly laughting....I CAN NOT SAY IT ENOUGH I HAVE NEVER WITNESSED SOMEONE SO FULL OF JOY. She  of course is very very smart, she keep repeating everything we say, ex. she was coloring and I said Lucy Mae look at momma, and she would look then a minute later we would hear her said Lucy Mae look at momma! she talks all night long, and just looks at us in the eyes and we just say I wish I knew what you were saying!! yesterday with one of our interpreters she asked her is momma brought her any clothes and Lucy said HUNDREDS (thanks mom and dad) when she say her clothes she was in awe, the WHOLE day she fixes her her she LOVES headbands and her hair is so short but she will put a small ponytail in the front, with a headband on, she stands infront of the mirror a lot. she always is playing with puting her hair back with her hands. after her bath i could tell she felt so BEAUTIFUL, she really likes to look and feel pretty.
now the heartbreaker....last night as we put her to bed she CRIED AND CRIED Jeff mainly laid with her, for several reason I was so tired I slept some plus I will be with her so much during the days that I want this bonding time for him. she keep talking and talking while she was crying, so we called Cindy our translater and she told us that she was saying she wanting to go back home to the orphanage. This next thing is going to amaze  you!!!!  Bradley bought me an mp3 player about a two years ago and I hardly use (not cause I dont love it but I was have someone saying MOM MOM lol) anyhow I have recorded on there the songs for the states and capitals, one song, come a little closier (thats for jeff and I lol) then the other song ( this is SO GOD) Standing on holy ground, this is NOT  only my favorite Christian song but it was the song that lead me to the LORD!!! it was the very song I stood in church with and said that I choose to follow GODS path for me, I was 16 or 17, so we played this for her after I prayed over her, the ear piece would fall out and almost with a shacking fear she would panic trying to find the ear piece and immediately put it back into her ear, SHE LOVED THE VERY SONG that brought me closier to the LORD, GOD knew what would calm her spirit and soul, ' the translater (who is Christian) asked her by my request do you know JESUS or GOD, she looked at her and shook her head saying NO, wow for a couple of minutes my heart was so SAD for her, but then after my short grieving moment I changed my heart praising  GOD for the honor and the privelege to teach her about GOD and who her LORD and SAVIOR was to be for ETERNITY. SOMETIMES, ACTUALLY A LOT I am so honored and amazed at how much GOD has intrusted Jeff and I with (our barns truely overflow)
Yesterday we had a lot of legal stuff to do (the adoption is TOTALLY different) our translater said that Beijing adoption are so very rare that they only have one maybe two a year...we had to go infront of a judge at the registors office, WOW the lady asked us some very intense questions, at one point she asked if we promise NEVER to abandon or hurt her I just started crying and said never...one lady stood right beside her starring us down very sturn, which is very good, they need to be very careful with who adopts their children... Beijing adoption is so rare bc it is the capital and if any of the chinese people donate money it goes to the orphange she lived in they also educate them very well and most go to university. so the lady ended up really liking us and the one standing next to the judge said to our translator that she was amazed at how well Lucy Mae and I had already bonded and that we could communicate and understand, this is after having her for 2.5 hours. here is some really awesome news Jeff and I (Jeff thought of it) have to decided to name her Lucy Mae YAN Dangler (that is the first name Yan, of the lady that found her) to give her honor and so we will always be rememmbering her)  we will tell her tomorrow, and already told Dennis they gentlement that fought for her to be put into an orphange so we could do her paperwork... and he was SPEECHLESS, that is HUGE for the chinese they are really big on HONOR! today we will have lunch with Yan.  welp that is going to be all for now I LOVE YOU ALL, AND BLESSINGS to each of you from the other side of the world!
Donna

Yan Li

Yan Li is the reason why we're here... Yan saw Xiao Ai's need for a Permanente family -- even if that family was half way round the world.

Yan Li, Donna & Dennis Yang

Dennis really had a tough job -- he worked so diligently to get Lucy Mae into the orphanage system... it took six tries!  I'm glad he's a man of faith and persistence!

Another WoW day.....

WOW!!! each day holds such incredible experiences!! Last night after a full
day Yan, Dennis and Yan's sister, took us to the most wonderful restaurant,
they probably ordered 12 dishes, it was a Chinese feast! It was a
bittersweet day, at the end of lunch Lucy Mae started crying and
weeping...she was with a foster home for the last year, (we just learned of
this) and she keep saying that they told her that she was to come back, just
to get her NOT to cry when she left, which left us a lot to work with, but
with GOD and his abundant mercies and grace she is doing much better today
so happy and joyful, skipping, laughing, and all smiles. Last night we took
her swimming and the funniest thing happened, she would CLING to me which
was needed to bond, however she would NOT go near Jeff and we could NOT
understand this (thank heavens for our translator) she can and we asked her
WHY? She told her that the hair on his chest is poking her, (you see Chinese
men basically DO NOT have hair on their chest) we lost it!!! We could
hardly stop laughing!!! When we brought her back to the room we got our
pj's on and she crawled in bed with us and sang her little heart out, she
was so happy and feel right to sleep. Here is some other interesting
knowledge that we needed to hear and will be great facts for you all to
read...When we sat in the lobby and wanted to keep having her sit on our lap
she would sit and then get right up, if you know us the Dangler's are MAJOR
huggers we LOVE to contently be hugging each other. Typically someone is in
my lap at home or sitting in the big chair with Jeff, so again our wonderful
translator (Cindy) asked her why? Lucy Mae said her foster mother told her
as a Chinese respect you do NOT sit on laps of people or cling to them it is
NOT good manners, WOW we are the totally opposite...even our boys at 23, 19,
& 17 still climb into my lap, I will say Bradley doesn't as much now that he
is married, but Andrew, very typically and Dillon, not so much... Lily Mae
all day long, on and off, so TWO very interesting facts. Today we went to
meet Melody, she is the head director of the Children Hope International and
was the key source as well as Dennis...she was so excited to meet Lucy Mae,
this was such a blessing for her she has fought long and hard for this to
happen, so it was a joy and relief to see us!! SHE is so taken by our story
that while she was there she contacted China CBN (China broadcasting
network) and China CNN. She wants the story to go on the air, and would be
shown in America as well. We also meet in her office a Chinese famous rock
star. We then came back to the hotel and Lucy Mae and I ate lunch in the
hotel, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves, very fun and lots of laughs
even with the language barriers, God is preshUS to us! Yan will take us to
the hospital to show us where Lucy Mae lives for a couple of years and then
the staff is taking us to a hotel for a huge going away party for Lucy Mae,
she is so LOVED her EVERYONE has fallen in love with her, mainly Jeff and I.
I cannot tell you the feeling I get when I look into her eyes the
connections fills my soul with immeasurable love. Well we are off to the
market hugs and kisses to all of you.
Side note when we went to change after swimming I meet this wonderfully kind
Chinese women who also spoke English and we shared so much about children,
college and different life styles, as I went to leave I gave her a hug
(which is NOT really done in China, you just shake hands) I said God bless
held her hand and looked her in her eyes and told her that Jesus loved HER
and asked her if she know God or Jesus and she said that she had some
Christian friends and that they would get together and study the bible and
sing songs, (my heart was so elated) I reassured her that she must accept
Jesus in her heart for her to go to heaven and one day see US! This was so
touching I praise God so much for giving me the spirit to witness anywhere
with any language, To GOD be the glory.
GOD'S BLESSINGS FROM CHINA
