Subject: The Unexpected

Talk about the UNEXPECTED!!!! Today we were taken to a gentlemen's office
where we were asked to share our story of Lucy Mae in front of a full
conference room of men and women, There was a man who interpreted our story
into Chinese. He had a power point message up that said "Love beyond
boundaries" and "welcome" Jeff and I were so honored to share our story
which reflects the love of GOD and how GOD moves mountains, and mountains he
does!! Too much of our surprise at the end we were handed a huge mound of
Chinese money, and then everyone in the conference room donated money as
well, towards Lucy Mae's education, medical needs or any other needs for
her, (it was nearly $4,000.00 dollars) WE ARE MORE THAN SPEECHLESS!!!! Our
stay here in Beijing has been such a pleasure, the people here have been so
INCREDIBLE, the out pouring of LOVE, & SUPPORT has left us desiring to come
again... the people we meet here are real, and have welcomed us with open
arms, we have been treated like royalty! May God bless the giver!
P.S. It is a small world with a big GOD, I found out yesterday before the
meeting that the gentlemen who had us to his office has a nephew who attends
Kentucky Country Day...and stayed with Scott Scinta last year while
attending school...I had taken the Scinta's dinner last year because he is
battling cancer (please pray for him)!!! and after I delivered the meal (not
knowing at the time) Mr. Yang nephew came in the home, right before I left
we were able to pray together and talk about his time in America and I let
him know that we were going to China in the near future to adopt a little
girl, little did I know that his uncle went to college with Jane Peng
(Jeff's co-worker)who was the first person to contact us about the adoption.
TALK ABOUT A SMALL WORLD!! I am going to have to write a book, someday!!

Lucy Mae was at a sheep farm for the last year (not in an orphanage) this is
something we learned when we got here. There is one thing that broke my
heart she was telling our translator that she HAD to wash all of her clothes
by hand, that is just so foreign to me, I really cannot even
comprehend...bless her heart she will probally stare at our front loaders,
for the longest time, lol, every time I hold or look at her hands I think of
this. I love and miss ALL of you!!

Precious.

Wonderful day...

We had a Wonderful day... went to a flower market... noodle lunch... then
hopped over to see a Chinese Acrobat show...
There was a super long line at the American Embassy....

A very kind gentleman from the party the other evening has provided us a
WONDERFUL car and driver for three day -- what a blessing!

More party pictures to come... we were informed this afternoon that there
will be another party for Lucy Mae tomorrow evening... this is one LOVED
little girl!!!

What a blessing!

During last night party... a very nice gentleman, told us that for the next
three days he would send us his driver and he would take us anywhere we
wanted!!! So we did just that...we went back to the flea market and then
went to a shopping mall, where ALL of the sales people call to you trying to
get you to purchase items, Jeff loved the place because all the women hang
on you trying to get you to buy, he said he just wanted to stay up on the
third floor (this is where the women were the most aggressive.) Jeff said if
you ever feel lonely this is the place to go. Needless to say Jeff was on
his own personal high all afternoon, (after being hung on all afternoon.)
The few things we purchased they would give me a price, on a calculator then
I would erase theirs and put my bottom dollar in and walk away then they
would come after me this would go back and forth for awhile UNTIL they
accepted my bottom dollar, this was very fun, I thought they did NOT realize
I have been in sales most of my life...my father taught me well, DONT
BUDGE!!! Then the women would say YOU have a good a wife, she is the boss!
THAT IS TRUELY A FALICY

We had a WONDERFUL DAY, Thank YOU Mr. Yang!!

Breakfast....

We usually just eat a big breakfast and snack thru the day.... Lucy Mae
loves Tabasco -- but not this morning I put WAY too much on her eggs and
bless her heart instead of complaining she just sat there eating while slow
cooking until I realized what was going on...
Vivian is our most favorite server at the restaurant -- she is pleasant,
funny, and love to talk to Lucy Mae!!!

Lucy Mae's guardian angel -- Yan Li

Yan Li is Lucy Mae's true guardian angel... the role one can play in one's
life can be subtle or it can be exponential... In Lucy Mae's case it's the
latter. It's staggering to think where Lucy Mae (Xiao Ai) would be today if
it were not for Yan Li's phone call to Jane Peng ...........

Celebration!

The hotel manager was so taken by Lucy Mae's story and the outpouring of
love & happiness... he broke out several bottles of Champagne!

What a GRAND evening....

We are still awestruck over the outpouring of love and compassion shown for
Lucy Mae!!

The Hospital Staff that cared so much for her....

These are pre-party pictures

The story that unfolded this evening at the He Ping hospital and at the
party were AMAZING... we are still is awe of the evenings events!
